Hey guys, Dustin here. I started my tumbler build finally, but it's a little slow going as the only chance I have to work on it is while my 11 month old son is taking his naps. Busy busy busy... Anyways, as you can see, I finally got some welding done. It's day 8 of actual build work but this has been in the research and planning stages for about a year now.

Alright, day 10 of work. But day 11 will have to wait till my new mig comes in. Hopefully, no more than a week.
Got the first of four panels of sheet metal, for the under side plating/floor board, welded on and plug welded in place. The one on the right is about a quarter welded when my mig crapped out.

Been a while since my last update. So far, I've only been able to finish welding the bottom of the frame and apply some filler in preparation to painting, due mostly because of the FedEx screw up with sending my new mig.... Oh well. At least I'm back on track...

Here is the primary weight frame mostly welded. Unfortunately, it's sat like this for about a week now because I have been working on the truck that is the future donor vehicle for this build.

Been working on the engine as of late. But, it's coming together. Thought I would have some fun painting it.

I'm starting to build the front wheel supports (arms?). Considering the torsional stresses that will be on the arm due to the wheel attached not being on an axle for support, should 1/8" wall thickness on the rectangle tube steel be sufficient to handle the stress? Or should I move up to 1/4"? I know 1/4" will definitely work but it will also add considerably more weight to my build.
