I'm going to have to go back and look at that car. I can't remember where the weapons pod is.

Here is a technique I have used frequently while making steel plates for my Tumbler.
Cutting out the nose cone weapons pod top plate.
Here is an example of making straight edge guide hand held plasma cuts with stops.
One problem when making hand held plasma cuts with a straight edge guide
is cutting past where you wanted to stop.
Stops are used to make precise stops of the hand held plasma torch.
Most hand held plasma torches have a drag shield with a stand off edge of 3/16 inch. and s stand off height of 3/16".
So, straight edge hand held plasma torch guides are usually cut from 3/16" thick X 3/4" for cutting 4-feet or less.
On cuts longer than 4-feet the straight edge guides are cut from 3/16" thick X 2-3" flats.
Hand held portable metal cutting circular saws have replaced hand-held plasma torches for cutting straight lines on 1/16-1/4" plate steel. You can also cut 3/8" thick steel but blade cutting linear feet decrease significantly. Cuts made with metal cutting circular saws are clean and sharp needing only a light pass with a grinder or file to break the sharp edge.

Here is the nose cone weapons pod top cover I cut today.
I used multiple tools and techniques for this piece.
Made outside cuts and long internal cuts with a 8" metal cutting circular saw.
Made straight cut to get access to teeth area with a plasma torch.
Used 5" 20 volt dewalt metal cutting circular saw to make all the smaller teeth cuts except for two.
I made these two small teeth cuts that I could not reach with the Dewalt, with a reciprocating saw.
Then I welded back in the piece I cut accross to make my long internal cuts.
Making this part took around 3-hours. vertigo

Here is one of the nose cone weapons pod side window panels I worked on today.
I used multiple tools and techniques for this piece.

Made outside cuts with a 8" metal cutting circular saw.
Made most inside cuts with a plasma torch and straight edge cutting guide with stops.
Used 5" 20 volt dewalt metal cutting circular saw to make three short length inside cuts,.
I made one short inside cut with a reciprocating saw.
Then I used a 4" hand grinder to clean up all of the cuts and flat areas I could reach.
Making this part has taken 8-hours, so far.
Still have about 10% of areas that are difficult to access left to finish with files.

Placed a copy of this post here for anyone planning to and/or actually building a Bat Vehicle.
Cut out the nose cone cannon sleeve slits for both side panels of the nose cone weapons pad.
Here are some images of a trick I used to cut these elliptical slits.
Since the cannon sleeves are going to be heavily welded to support the slip in cannon barrels I don't need to
have really clean cuts.
Many hand held plasma torch users are unaware that steel can be plasma cut with a wooden template guide.
I plasma cut these elliptical slits in around 3-minutes each.
So, why would I make a template from wood. Short run quick cutting a couple of parts for welding.
Cutting templates from wood is easier and quicker than cutting them from any other material.
Wood templates are good for 2-6 cuts. vertigo
