Used proxy tire method to determine my Tumbler's tire clearances, tire backsets, turning ranges, and overall fit.  vertigo

Received my Mickey Thompson tires for the front of my Tumbler.
These are a lot more robust than the original Hoosier dirt track tires.

So what do you think of the fitment? jpeg 1 and 2 looks like there might be some contact with the rim.

Beautiful tires. How wide are they? How tall?

"So what do you think of the fitment? jpeg 1 and 2 looks like there might be some contact with the rim." sly

The inside diameter of the proxy tire shown is 18 inches which I originally planned to use.
Glad I used a proxy tire before buying tires and wheel rims. That's when I discovered the fitment problem that you mentioned. Have moved up to a 20 inch wheel rim and inside tire dimension. The steering link hook up location barely touched the inside of the 18 inch inside diameter. The increase to 20 inch wheels gives me an additional inch of clearance. The way I figure is that using a proxy tire saved me from making a several thousand dollar mistake. Proxy tires quickly revealed a serious inescapable flaw in fit that I could have easily overlooked and ended up buying 18' wheel rims and 18" inside diameter tires when I really needed 20" wheel rims and 20" inside diameter tires.

These are 31 inches tall and 18 inches wide. They are also DOT and street legal.

Almost forgot. No factory wheels available that were not aluminum or skeletonized stainless steel.
So, had to order a pair of custom made steel wheels with a two month wait for delivery. vertigo
