The motor used on the real bikes is a Honda CRF450X with electric start. It is a single cylinder motor with left hand sprocket drive.

Im doing some maths and would like to know the weight of the Pod. Can someone who owns a Parker Bros. Pod throw it on some scales and get its weight?
Thanks
Brad.

Front wheel hub, axle and disk.
Now to drill a hole through the square axle and fit some bearings.

Another question for you Pod owners. What thickness steel is the frame made from? Looking to make mine as light as possible.

I've made some inquiries on steel pipe and redrawn the frame of the Pod to match. I hadn't noticed the way the front shock was done before. Seems there's another arm below the shock and the support that comes off the frame must actually rotate. I've used a couple of Shaggy's parts from his sketch-up and they are represented in green.

Been doing a ton of research and thinking I'll go electric.
I intend to use it as a functional display piece for Comic cons and other shows. I'll gear it so it's top speed is reduced and lower end has more go.

I made the back part of the frame a little longer as it didn't fit my 6 foot model. There wasn't enough room between the knee rests and the foot pegs.
