Finally picked up my body from Doug on Friday morning. pictures coming soon. . .
Had a news crew following me between Dayton and Indy, filming the trip. Wonder if I made the evening news?
Clogged up a couple of gas stations with gawkers. . .

Congrats
Hope your build is everything you want it to be.
How are the kids reacting to it. I bet you can't get the smiles off their faces. Not that you would want to.

Question: What do you do when you get your 89 body, only to find that you have no garage space, as your new garage won't be built for a few months?
Answer: Awww. . .just hang it UP ! ! !

And, YES, there is still enough room for the garage door to clear the body. . . 1/2 inch!

We can't see the pic. You can see it probably b/c you've authenticated to your email site but not us. You'll have to upload it here or to other image sites.

an advantage to having your shell elevated. . .i can pull the buick out of the garage, and quickly access the lower panels for sanding & finish work! Saves a LOT of bending over and sore backs!
Also, from underneath, the seems from the mold are very evident. Since I trust nothing that has been 'seamed together', this is allowing me the time and easy access to re-enforce all seems with an extra layer of fiberglass prior to doing finish work on the exterior seems.
CAUTION to anyone purchasing a shell. . . watch the seams. . . they can sometimes, inadvertently end up being very thin in spots. (just remember,...my shell had thirteen different sections assembled prior to being 'blown'. line-ups of molds can sometimes vary from one section to another. check body thickness prior to sanding and/or grinding.)
