Don Curry's latest tragedy

Don needs to spend a little more time learning some basic skills instead attacking members of this board.

Recently Don Curry did a full build “Turn Key” for a client at a reported cost of $170 grand, what the customer got was a rolling pile of junk. Don does a two piece hood with an inner liner. As the customer was driving the car home the hood delaminated and came off inflight and was damaged beyond repair. The car had extreme overheating problems coupled with PCV system causing problems with various other problems. The client had to shell out $4500 of pocket expenses in repairs just to get his car home.

That's pretty sad. Did the owner get a replacement or partial refund?

Doesn't look like any of the rest of the Bat replica took damage. Lucky for that I suppose. Aren't these hoods usually hinged from the front? Strange that it would come off if it was hinged from the front.

Dons hoods are a two piece design with an inner liner and outer shell, evidently it wasn't laminated properly and came apart. In this case it wouldn't matter how it was hinged.

I just noticed that the rear canopies are missing in two of the images. I wonder what happened to those? Is this the Washington DC Batman millionaire that got pulled over and was in the News? The one that goes to Hospitals to visit kids? I read he had just got a 66 from someone. He also wears a Keaton like suit.

Don hooked up the doors with electric door poppers. Now they don't work and the doors will not open manually. The owner of the Batmobile has to jump in and out to get in the car. Now thats real workmanship for 170 grand and three years of you life and this is what you get from a self professed Professional Craftsman.

The Man who owns this Batmobile is Lenny Robinson, this man spends a large amount of his time driving his Batmobile to children's hospitals to help infirmed children. This man is a true humanitarian for what he does for others asking for nothing in return. This is what he said about his build from Don.

"My car is a D o n C u r r i e...have put so much extra $$$ into it due to his lack of professionalism! The hood blew off when I was on route from a West Virginia Childrens Hospital traveling back to Maryland. The car is the coolest but Don's work is totally poor!!!"

Don hides from the truth...

I find it reprehensible what Don has done to this man who only wanted to have a nice Batmobile. You would think that if you put out a lemon you would do everything in you power to make it right. From what I am hearing Don has completely written this man and his car off.

Instead of trying to make things right, Don attacks me on the 66 board in an attempt to shift the attention from himself. This man had a multitude of problems with his build and all you hear from Don is complaining about me posting a picture of my service weapon several years ago, and a conversation with my boss some five or six times.

So the question remains what are you going to do about your crappy build?

Here is the link to Dons rambling post…
