hey Batiman, are you going to post your build here. Eventually I'd love to build a stretched countach. I got to ride in a real one about a year ago. Its on one of my youtube videos it was scary fast. I'm having a lot of fun building these Murcielagos. Looks like I might have Batman4reals out to my house next tuesday. He wanted to learn some more about fiberglassing. Plus I do appreciate his help. I'll post some pics. TToo bad Shaggy can't be here it be like old times....dave

Yeah Batiman when the weather gets hot that resin sets uo suoerfast. Been busy busy at work but still managing to put a few hours in here and there. Here's a pic of the eventual power plant. This one is a 3800 v-6 fuel injected supercharged engine from a 1999 Buick Riviera 50,000 docuemented miles. The second motor is the same from a 2001 Grand Prix with 120,000 miles.

Because I am building one for me and one for my business partner. And we didn't want to argue about who got what engine we decided to have them both rebuilt by a local race shop. These engines are a little tame in the oem stage but we hope to wake them up. As we took the engines in we found the 2001 had cracks in both the heads at a pretty common place. So we decided to upgrade to these new aftermarket heads that have those areas built up.

We chose the 3800 because it was one of the easiest swaps for the 88 Fiero. The engine literally bolts up to the Muncie 5 speed. The transmission and trans axles will be rebuilt as I want to also upgrade them in the process.

this is the murcielago rear deck lid. in the first models they were louvers like this. in my case i will remove the louvers and replace them with glass like the LP-640s. the piece where there is a seam will be cut to form the side batwings. yep thats what they call them
