First of all, I would like to introduce myself: My name is Martin, I come from Austria (Europe) and started building star cars in 2006 with a Knight Rider replica. After that I built in 2010 an A-Team Van replica. I can post pictures if you wish. After that I thought about what to build next, and came up with the 1966 and 1989 batmobile. So I got kits and started collecting parts. Concerning the 89 replica I want to build a dead on replica of the 89 movie car - seats, rear width, tyre sizes. So I started collecting parts mid 2011.
Below are pics of the original type Recaro seats I acquired yesterday from Hamburg / Germany: Seats were originally in a BMW and are very rare. Hope you like them.

I do like it, looks amazing! Where exactly in Hamburg is it possible to get them and how much did it cost you?

Today was the great day: I got the 40 ft container with all the important 89 + 66 batmobile content from the U.S. I was very nervous over the last months since I ordered already in 2011, but many parts had to get together in order to ship them to save charges. The kits are from Doug Hines. I got 66 specific parts from Mark Racop and 89 parts from Don Currie . Despite all the info I got in here I decided to order parts from him. I am very satisfied. Quality is great!I am very surprised on the high quality of these parts! Thank you Mark, Don and especially Doug for making this all possible!! Thanks for your patience! Some pics from today:

Nice guys I would have had Don pull a nice rear deck lid for your 89 though.
Stilll not sure why Doug does not get one from some one and recast it.
Those seats are the the shizzle.

Thanks Nitro! More progress, I just finished my front turbine. I modified the one I got from Doug to a very high degree. I wanted to get it as close as possible to the original :

While at Doug's shop, he had one of those 'nicer' deck lids hanging on the wall. He said he had very little interest in it, though. Just ask, and he will make you one!
