Aside from my Batmobile obsession, I also own some other strange vehicles, including a factory built 1969 Laser 917. It was dubbed a Porsche 917 Replica, but hardly, the lines are reminiscent at best. Nonetheless I love the car, and consider it a great part of my collection. Extremely low, 40" roof height, wide, running 295/50/15s in rear, gullwing doors, its a weird wild car.

Recently a member in my Porsche club, painted his Laser black, and I couldnt help but think of it as batmobile'esque.

With some wings added, and a few other retrofits, this could be a comical custom batmobile project, with some vision and fabricating.

The best part is, these Lasers, though a bit rare, are cheap, most of them built on vw platform.

Has anyone considered this approach to a custom, comic batmobile?

...Just so you know, the Laser 917 Kit Car (Made by Elite Enterprises) did not come out till the late 70's. The Bradley GT was their first project in the early 70's. The Chassis of your Laser might be a '69 and registered as a '69, but it's not a '69.

P.S. ...at most of my car shows people often compare my car to a Batmobile....... although there is NO similarity at all I think!!!!

I am old enough to remember the Laser, I always loved the car. I did own a silver Bradly GT with a Porsche 914 engine in it, it was a great car.
