Hey Montesanto, yeah the firsy time we has the car done it was just plain hand power. On the second redo we installed cabinet roller rails with a linear actuator. It required us to cut a slit in the fully painted hood. We installed a square tube with a gate roller under the hood. The roller is attached to a linear actuator. It has an interior and exterior switch located on the underside of the side intake. It works pretty good only problem is it has a lot of play when its shut. So I will have to tighten that up. It presently sits on a trailer with the Tribute Rumbler. After the pool season winds down we will again be taking it out to local charities. Thanks for looking....dave

BWD! You are a master of skills. If a plane ticket ever lands in your lap for Ga. we have to meet up. Hoping just a tad of that skill rubs off on me so my build turns out half as nice as yours. The photos and videos are great and cant wait to see more of your build sir. Talk to ya soon.
Seems I have a bat in my belfry

Spent a little time before the Sturgis run to install a flowmaster muffler on the Crimefighter. Had to get it off the trailer to load the Big Kahuna, Tribute Rumbler and my newest creation the Surfin Silver. Here's a couple pics of the finished Crimefighter Extreme. I did my hatch a little different and it gave me a chance to align the rear fins which were greatly out of alignment and strengthen the area between the wings. This new hatch design fits on an inner lip and the hinges are similar to my lambo hinges. The latching mechanism is electric with a safety release just in case. Thanks dave aka BWD

I painted the Crimefighter Blood Red as a tribute to the first responders at 911. The red really brings out the details of the body. Things you would not normally see in black. I noticed a lot of these small details in all the hours I spent sanding the car. BWD

Hey Unholy, no I knew it was going to be blood red as a tribute to the first responders during 911. I remember people running down the stairs desperately trying to get out of the twin towers. Then seeing those firemen running up the stair. It was unbelievable sacrifices from first responders to take that risk for people they did not even know. The pics I posted are actually of the first time I painted the car. It was completely stripped and sanded super straight last year. I need to get some studio type pics.BWD

Hey Crow I distinctly remember sand the body of the 89 and remember how beautiful the lines of the car are. I remember thinking I never really saw this car for the subtle beauty it was. Mostly because the black of the car made the contrast hard to see. I would love to someday pull a mold off the car and create another straight fiberglass shell. I am a long way from being able to do that but someday I hope my skills would allow me to try.BWD
