Depends if you are buying a kit or scratch building.
There has also been suggestions of (in no particular order)....
Reliant Scymitor (fibreglass body on frame)
Dutton Pheaton (small two seater)
Vw beetle (not sure that it is practical)
Caprice, Impala or oldsmobile cutlass (all American and hard to find/expensive if you do)
and custom made chassis (prob best if you can afford it).
Hope it helps
PS: I heard there was once a guy in England called John .....

i was thinking off get in contact with doug or kevin to get a price on there kits and to see how much it was to get it ship over to here i have been a coach builder for 10 years now and my dad has been 1 for over 40 years so we where think of using a ford as they are big cars and the would be around the same size as the C4s over there just have to keep doing more research on it have you ever dealt with the boys they same to have the best kit out there at the moment

Kevin and Doug sounds good.
Why not ask them to strip down a Chevy (or other donor) and mount the kit for ya? The donor cars are easy to find in the USA and it might work out cheaper for you in the long run. I'm sure there will still be plenty for you and dad to do.
No, I am not talking from personal experience here (I wish). Just my 2 cents

Z cars up in hull in the uk built a replica for a limo company. The limo company then offered 89 replica's through eBay and there own website. Check it out on YouTube, you might be able to find the limo company using google. Good luck
I will definatly be back

That car was built for Terry and Lynne Garlik? It was then sold to London Motor museum. There are some discussions and photos on this very site.
If I remember right they had a website
www.themecars4u.com
Spoke to Terry over the phone while the build was progressing.... at least he got the correct gas caps I pointed him to.
