That picture brings back memories .. back in 1999 I was working for my local PD, and we sent our caprice out to be refurbished .... It was a very common practice back then ,many departments around the country were doing it ..
I'll bet you have one of the refurbished cars... if it looks like a lot of parts have been replaced...

I purchased headlights today from ebay. I am going with the Mazda 626 88-92 ones, which seem to be recommended by Doug H.

Excellent!

By the way, IF YOU ARE SELLING PARTS, please contact me. I'm looking for exhaust, dash panels, steering wheel, front intake vent/spinner thingie, etc.

I'm still on the fence about how I'm going to handle the interior. Not sure if I'm going to go for screen accurate or not, but I did see a really nice dashboard panel set up in one of Nitro's earlier posts. Might at least do that much, as it looked great.

You have the major part that I'm trying to track down.... a solid donor car that doesn't break the bank!!

I've been keeping track of my build here if you're interested:

Reading the batberry blog was heartbreaking! So sad to hear that your donor did not work out, especially after the good luck finding it and all the work with the tear down I hope another donor presents itself shortly.

This arrived today. Part of the mounting hardware is busted, but I don't care, as it won't be used. Overall though, it's in great condition.

Also ordered this from Amazon. This should prove extremely helpful during the tear down and build up.
