Jack i talked to my father-n-law and he said when he joined back in the '80's that he drove as far as Renton to speak to a recruiter because the one nearest to him (Silverdale, same place I'm going) took forever to see him. I got an email this morning from him:
Jason,
Let's set an appointment for Thursday at 2pm. If you could have your Josh complete the attached questionnaire and bring it with, I would really appreciate it. Thank you sir
Lets hope this appointment works. Gotta head out to work outs, wanna be in shape for basic, so I'm not left behind!

Jimmy (11/30/2010)
rusty (11/30/2010) maybe its a sign from god...shaggy you have skills to get a great job..sometimes it just takes a little while.....
Too bad one of those skills isn't at Internet.
Or magically creating cash to finish projects that I start. Tends to be a thing with me. Speaking of which.....

Times have finally dropped us to the point where we get to decide whether to keep the Camaro, or lose our new truck. I lose the truck, I lose my job, and it becomes a domino effect from there.
And unfortunately Erics Tumbler might make that list, but for free, we don't know yet.

Got to talk to a recruiter finally!! And it was nothing but great news. On the 14th I get to go take the ASVAB. They say its probably gonna be anywhere from 5 to 8 months before I see Basic, If i sign up by the end up this month.
I'll let you guys know more just as soon as I have more time. On a side note, I called my job this afternoon because I was suppose to recieve my first paycheck for the past 2 weeks of work yesterday and they didn't have it. My boss answered and said, "yeah, I might only be able to pay you around $25 for right now because times are tight" And he was totally serious! I'm like DUDE!? I've got Ally knocking on my door trying to reposes my truck, and I just had my electricity cut off, are you F@#$ING SERIOUS!?
But, I'm still smiling, and i'm not even on any drugs.

I took my ASVAB test. Scores were given to me as follows.
Mechanical: 93
Electrical: 80
Administrative: 63
General: 68
The recruiter talked very high of my mechanical ability, and it sounds like I should have no problems getting into the field that I want. Now I just got two things on my credit report to get removed and I can sign up! Shouldnt be long now.
By the way, to graduate from Basic Training I have to run 1.5 miles in 11:57, I can do it in 12:13. I'm SO close its scary.

That sounds great about the AF testing, what are you looking to get into? I do not regret the time I spent in the AF and I love the check they send me every month for not showing up for work, I love it. I am sure Jack is looking forward to it... I do miss the Air Force and all the wonderful people I worked with!
