The guy in the first pick, wearing the black jacket is Andy Purillo; movie car owner and George Barris' east coast representative. Barris is going to be at a show at the Cradle of Aviation Autoseum in August. No doubt these cars will be there as well.

In the pics from the above link, This Batmobile appears to be all beat to hell...amazing the things Hollywood will do to a car, even The Batmobile

Nice find Matt. I am not a fan of this car or the movie but man that does kind of make you sick to your stomach.

If it is indeed being used for the remake of the movie Arthur, he most likely crashes it while drunk driving...just a wild guess

If you were anywhere near downtown Manhattan (near South Ferry) earlier today then there's a good chance you spotted a Batmobile in the street. No, it's not one of the newer Batmobiles from Christopher Nolan's films, and, no, they haven't started shooting the next Batman movie yet. Instead, it's an older Batmobile from Batman Forever, and it's apparently being used in the Arthur remake.

In Arthur, Russell Brand stars as a drunken, wealthy playboy who stands to lose a giant inheritance because his family doesn't like the new woman in his life. Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, Greta Gerwig and Nick Nolte also star. The original 1981 film starred Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli, and was popular enough to spawn a sequel, Arthur 2: On the Rocks, in 1988. Putting the pieces together, it would seem Brand's character probably bought the Batmobile on eBay or at auction, and is using it as his vehicle of choice driving around town. If that's the case, it could make for some pretty funny scenes.

Funny if it hadn't already been done of the Drew Carry Show.

Shame...

I agree. And its more insulting that it was the SAME Batmobile. Why not Batman & Robin's Fatmobile? I would have rejoi....UH...cried a bit less.
