hay terry the company is called webstarts.com I went with them because they have a lot of video tutorials on youtube, like 153 of them and everything is click-n-drag...i like that, so far I havent had any hang-ups when it came to building it.

Ah, I just realized I no longer had any desire to work on it...  The drywall mud technique is just too... I don't know... It just sucked.  Add the wet mud, wait 24hrs for it to dry, sand most of it off to shape... repeat...repeat...repeat.

If I were to do it again, I would definately use styling clay.  Still, a LOT of work, but it's more "instant".  Add the clay, shape it.  No sanding, no waiting for it to dry, etc.

oh ya ..that would be a pain and messy. I'm waiting for shaggy to get to that little 89 that I saw in one of his posts...he did it in sketch-up ... now that would be cool.

Yep, it was like three steps forward and two steps back... and a lot of waiting.  I pretty much started it on a whim.

With the clay, at least you're constantly moving forward, Plus you can get much better results than with the mud.

Hey Tim, do you ever see yourself taking on such a project again, only equipped with the right stuff?

Just curious.

Oh yeah, for sure...  probably not a batmobile though.

By the way, your Tumbler Kart is fantastic!  Love the videos.  I'd love to see you take it out to a big open space and just have a blast with it.

ha, thats funny I was just thinking of that last night. I ordered a raque n pinion off of ebay a few days ago, it might be getting here any day now, Ill put that on and then make a seat and it should be ok...but I want to put better breaks and shocks on it.

I got a good throdel cable on it now, so that works. Its a brake cable that I had fabed up for me at a local bicycle shop.

Well I have decided to implament the Akerman turning in to it...took the front wheel off and stearted to measure....

It looks like I'm going to build a whole new spindle and set the tie rod connection out by about 5/8 ...

well this is what I did today ...I first fallowed the pattern of my plans and drilled the center king pin hole...then placed the old spindle over the new flat stock and measured out the new tie rod holes and drilled...

then drew in some lines that would show me what to get rid of and put it on the drill press.

then brought it to the chop saw and cut some grooves

clamped it to the table and pulled out the hammer of THOR and started pounding...(that was a great stress reliever)

then pulled out the grinder and smoothend things up.

the other end is something that I'm testing . start welding tomarrow
