Well I am going to do it. For real. ...someday?
I will start this project as soon as my house closes this week. I have my buddy from our car club helping me on the frame. We will do a custom complete fab tube frame. My friend builds fast-boats for the Navy, and as some of you might remember, I am an aircraft tech for the Army. I think with our skills and the vast well of knowledge in our car club, it should be a solid build.
If anyone else knows the primary piece I require...hahaha, let me know.
Anyone know of a good way to get a hold of 12 volt servos? Large ones! I am thinking 32 ft lbs of torque for the main cabin.
Anyway, this will take us a while, but its a start.

Well I got the few first set of parts for my car, mostly interior parts, and I thought I will start out with a Catalina frame, but my partner Bobby wants to do a complete tube frame, so he will definitely win on that one. He has already started the tube setup in CAD, and will start welding next month (we have to wait until they move a H-Class fastboat out of the hanger before we can proceed).
I love the CLTC forum, already I have received help from numerous members PM'ing me on who to talk to again (some of you guys apparently remember me..). I appreciate all input.
It looks like I have my body pinned down, the hard part I would say in building these cars...and I should have it by next month or so..I'd say April to bee safe.
After talking to a couple people, it seems that there's only two logical choices.
Don't want to divulge too much without pictures and real progress, as its all skytalk til' it gets started, right!
Couple questions for anyone that wants to answer...
1.) blinkers on the bottom are from a 88 -ish vette?
2.) What do you think about doing non-traditional 89 rims? I really want to see what it would look like with black 20" rims, or bigger...I know that is against an "orginal" looking batmobile, and I am sure I am not the first one to mention this...
In the end I am sure I will have both sets, original style rims with Mickeys? and a sets of 20+ size blacked out rims. Anyway, that's waaay down the road.
I estimate 12 solid months before I am satisfied and done with this project.

Do not buy from M.T. you will regret it. So what are you building, or want to build? This is not a hobby, it is a passion.

The 89 is a tough build, but I am having a blast doing it. At first I was upset at what I got from MT, but have taken it all apart and have almost finished the rebuild. One of these days I will learn how to post pictures. I just tried again and still can not figure it out.

See, it just comes up as an attachment. Oh well if you click on it you can see my dash still need to finish the video panel. I should have it back from my water jet guy next week, then take it all apart to do the vinyl.
