Yep Yep, and i have various sizes, from 6" long, to full scale, just let me know how wide OR long (but not both) you want your replica to be and i can send you a custom sized set of templates to that length.

Shaggy,

First of all thanks. I checked with my DMV and the maximum width is 96". Just to be on the safe side I am going to build for 7'6" to be sure. THe width you are speaking of is from the farthest point from back left tire to back right tire, correct? IF this is trye then I humbly request your templates. You dont know how apprecitiave I am of this.  I can give you info on where to send these.

Thanks

I'm thinking about making these tanks truely functional:

Batmobile

There are a few places around me that will convert a Gasoline engine to use Propane instead.  I've been trying to figure out where I would put my gas tank when I also want to do gull-wing doors to get in and out of this bad boy.

So then I thought, why not actually use the propane tanks on the back as the fuel tanks for the engine.

Stroke of genious, or maybe madness

Propane is actually a lot better for your engine than gasoline. No fouled plugs, runs much colder etc.

Hey Tmandu, yeah from tip of the rear tire, to tip of the other rear tire would be the widest point i can think of.  So that would be great

I think utilizing that set of tanks on the rear would be awesome.  I got plans to install a Turbo-jet engine from a Semi's Turbo on the backside of my son's Tjr, and i was gonna use two of those tanks for the fuel that powers the Jet, then the other two for fuel for the engine, metering the amount of fuel (like a fuel gauge) was the only question at hand.

Not a lot of progress on the car lately.. it has been crazy cold up here and I am trying to get better from a cold/flu myself.

I have been able to order my fuel filler caps and also have a line on some front tires.  Some of the guys in my local car club have hooked me up with some local companies that do custom tube chassis and gasoline-to-propane conversions.

Looking forward to some warm weather so I can perminantly move my wifes truck out of the garage and start on the front steering/suspension arms

Toronto, Canada Eh?

I'll get back on a roll again... weather is trending up to be the regular normal of around 1C, but right now it is -15C which makes for some chilly times in the garage.

I can't wait until spring so that I can work on it in the evenings as well

Man.. I was just about to head out to the Garage and do some work, but realized that my wife was on a walk with the keys to the truck.. So I can't move it out and get working...

So here I am posting instead of working.  It's nice enough out today to have the garage door open.  I've got the go-ahead for the whole day from the boss (wife)

Now if I could just get started

No pictures today, it was one of those days where you get a fair bit accomplished but nothing to show in pictures

I was able to the front arm coming down on the passenger side braced and glued in place with construction adhesive.

I was also able to finish the front panel on the drivers side and also seal all the seams with the construction adhesive on the drivers side.

I also now have the front arm in place and braced on the drivers side and seams sealed.

Also of note, my fuel filler caps have landed in North America from England, and will be drop shipped to me at the begining of the week

I'll be sure to post lots of pictures of them once I get them.
