Well having finished my 89 Bat, I quickly got bored and decided to start another project. Hopefully this one doesn't take as long. The donor car: I will probably start cutting on it next week. Matt see any parts you need?

Hi guys, yes a BIG update. Kevin, a friend of mine and me just returned yesterday from a very long trip to Long Island Ney York. Why? To pick up my 66 BatRodz kit. Man it was a long trip, 5 days and 3500 miles. It really was a great trip.

Hey Dave. Thanks. Well I actually have a very very long story to tell about the kit and why and how it came to be. I actually did a ton of research and spoke to several guys who have the ability to make kits. I didn't want to make the same mistake I made with my 89 kit. Remember it was extremely thin and poorly built. I also took into consideration the cost and reputation of the manufacturer. I didn't want to end up with dealing with a nut job or someone who would make up lies and excuses about missing parts. I wanted a professional with a quality product. All that being said I was very limited. Batgod suggested that I contact Jim at Batrodz. Well after speaking with Jim personally and to one of his customers I decided that I would soon be building a Batrod.
I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived in NY. It was a pleasure to meet Jim and I am pleased to tell you that everything and I mean EVERYTHING went perfectly. Jim had all the parts ready to go. The main body, hood, trunk, inner doors, door panels, dash top, dash face, exhaust tube, package tray, outer arch, inner arch, inner rocker panel fillers, phone and base, antlers, and grill material for the front and rear. Oh and 1/4 think front and rear canopies. Now the best part for me (especially after dealing with a "thin and crispy 89") is the fact that this baby is at least 1/4" think. It's solid as a rock. Jim even cleans up all the seams, adds filler, and resprays the inside and outside of the kit. Now is it perfect? No it will still need some bodywork, but a lot less then my 89 needed. So at $8,000 I think the kit is a great deal. Jim will even crate it up for you if you need it. Me I just turned it upside down and hauled it back on a car trailer.
Here is the donor car all cut down and ready to be sandblasted.
Back from the sandblaster and ready to rebuild the suspension, lines, etc. New balljoints, bushings, brakes, ect, and fresh paint My friend Kevin freshened up the 460 and it and the trans are already installed. (sorry no picture) yet... Updates coming soon. So far so good.
