Drew, that was done up in SketchUp, it took me about a month's time on and off, a few hours here, and there. Thats what i like about the 3D work, if you screw up, or if you find something off scale, delete it and start over, OR sometimes easily modify what you already have exhisting. . This way i built my paper model one time complete and had no off scale parts, the 3D work checked all that for me ahead of time.

these brass rods are great. theyre just soft enough to bend, and they don't bend unintentionally. they're perfect medium to make a small model out of. and i realized adding the other 9" worth in scale would be no problem. i was actually squished in the legnth of the "cab" area, so it turns out to be a good thing i messed up.

now here is my next problem: i dont know the shape of the that piece and i cant find a picture of the actual batmobile that i can firgure it off of. Does anyone have any ideas? I was wondering how this piece would affect the panels when i try to put them on. the way it is currently i think it'll be a hinderance. I'm thinking it must be bend inward. does anyone know?

first off, excellent job! i visualized what that set up would be like with panels, and i honestly didnt see any hinderance from your set up so far. As far as that peice goes, it technically wasnt on the original, BUT i dont see it messing you up as far as panels, might actually assist with support.
