I don't mind this Batmobile compared to the Clooney one. This still had a darkness to it and it still had a closed canopy and two seats at least. My question is though, how would one work on the engine on this car? I don't see any main opening to actually get at the engine.

Yes, this Batmobile was actually driveable and could actually crush cars and do jumps without totaling the car. Check it out on the Special Edition 2-disc dvd of Batman Begins. It shows the build and test footage of the Tumbler.

Keaton's Batmobile is the coolest by far! Just wondering, if the body of the Batmobile is bulletproof why the need for complete shileding? Why not just shield the wheels and other exposed, not necessarily tamper-proof elements? Still looks the absolute proverbial dogs though!!

It's a fairly dumb feature, but I must admit it is a fantastic scene overall! Just a shame you can see the track it's running along on, sigh. Could they not have airbrushed it out or something in editing or somewhere along the lines?

And another thing, why did they change the Batmobile in Batman Forever? Isn't Keatons Bruce Wayne fixing the Batmobile in the Batcave when Alfred askes about Shreks mascarade ball?!! I no Schumacher wanted to put his own stamp on "his" films, but man were they pants, and the Batmo-wanna-biles were shockingly bad!
