just got the bulk of this done. i needed something to deter me from the headache i received from work today.

Beth got really excited to see the Mark 2 nose cone She said it looks hella better than the first attempt in my cardboard mock ups.

its becoming a very fruitful Saturday. I'm almost out of supplies to work with tho. especially glue.

I'm gonna get started on replicating the already made panels for the opposing side. That should keep my busy today.

Well i didnt get to replicate the existing panels like i wanted to. Instead i built the roof section. The leading edge is about 1/4" of an inch off in sections, just something to clean up later. Oh well .

Whenever i'm done working on the Tumbler i prop it up in the corner of our living room. When i did that today, Eric burst into tears, asking for his "batman car". I'm thinking he is loving this adventure just as much as I.
I just noticed i'm in the "old timers" group of CLTC. I feel honored!
THANKS DAVE!

Hey T-man i've already thought about that, and it turns out the Cabin will slip right outside my door with no problem. The individual panels can stay separate, so they wont add any height, or width to the car at all.

Thanks Terry! I'm deeply satisfied with the amount of detail thats showing up in the mark 2 templates. There is a heck of alot more thought process that goes into making them out of wood tho, each piece has to be cut a certain way in order for i to fit correctly. It takes constant concentration as each part is built. So difficult but SOOO much fun! And its always great to step back and see a new part come to reality.

probably wont be any updates for this weekend. I'm feeling too under the weather to really get anything done. Hopefully something by next weekend. Besides the rear section of the roof, im basically at the point where all i need to do is replicate the panels for the opposite side of the car. That should go quickly since half the work is already done.
Until then....

So a bit of bad luck, and i thought i would share. I'm now unemployed again. Didnt get fired, just couldnt not physically keep up with the job. I spent yesterday afternoon, and today gathering and putting in applications. The last 8 hours of my day were spent filling out online applications. I've got a good lead on a job at the Naval Shipyard so I'm hoping by Monday i'll get my foot in that door. Im asking that you guys send some good luck my way and hopefully i'll land myself a decent paying job, that i can handle, and be able to support my family.
....and perhaps a bat project. But first and foremost, family. Thanks! Here's hoping for something great!
