So my sister-n-law ended up having a little boy. The wild thing is.....

....nobody knows his name. They refuse to share his name. Kinda put a damper on the excitement really.

So i spent today trying to get some done on the Tumbler. I managed to get the windscreen and center piece cut and assembled. as well as one of the tire spoilers. Heres pictures.

Beth likes this part of the Tumbler the most. And im very happy with the amount of detail the Mark 2 templates have vs the Mark 1 templates have.

And the tire spoiler:

Hope to get more done next weekend

Yep, it should come out exactly 1/2 scale when everything is said and done.

So i got my first paycheck today since i've moved from 'bama. And to celebrate my broke-ness i decided to whip out my tools and work on the Tumbler. I got a few things done. I also made gussets so the cabin can hold its own weight on the inside. these helped keep the correct angles as well. Enjoy the pics

Sorry to disappoint you Dave, but i'll be smoothing out the wood until its a fairly smooth surface with no grain detectable. I think i'm gonna go as far as molding the individual pieces, but that decision will be set in stone once i get this cleaned up first.

Very nice shaggy . How are things going up there? I cant believe all the movies that you use that city as a back drop. Have you seen any filming there?

Hey Nitro, thanks for the comment, sadly i havent seen any movies being filmed just yet. Whats funny is how the common thought is that Seattle is overrun by Starbucks, in actuality its McDonalds, they are on every corner i swear!

If i see any filming going on i'll be sure to let ya know

Thanks Terry. Yeah its gonna be so awesome, and detailed down to the correct head bolts used in various places. I know, i'm obsessed, go cart or not!. Eric is getting very tall. I joke with Beth, "he's half your size already, and not even two!!!" HAHA!

He loves helping me with the build tho, he's always holding peices for me while i glue them. its so cute. I looked at my model today and deleted what i had created and took a look at what i had left to make.....

Needless to say i have alot more to get built, then sanded, then painted, then.....whatever i decided to do next. . Guess i'm in for the long haul even in half scale!

I also sold my trailer today, was kinda sad to see it go, but i needed the cash. Now my Camaro is lonely. I sold it to a couple of Russians, cool guys. I didnt even know they were Russian and they started talking to one another in Russian and i was like, "ok i'm from the south, and its hard for me to understand people sometimes, did you just speak english....or was that just me?" haha.
