Shaggy, in response to my youtube vid, I've had the steering in for quite a while. Just installed the counter roatat. box the end of the trans. and am looking for a drive shaft. 2 actually, 1st one goes in the carrier bearing, second one to the axel. then it drives. And then it's lipstick time, i.e. start going after the interior. got decent room in there. Happy about that. Am replacing the the stock circle track steering wheel with a "joystick" like look right now.

Thanks Bob.  I only asked because i had always seen the tires facing straight forward.

On a side note, thank you for all the great pictures of your build, they have been very useful to me in building my 3d model.  Especially in those deep detailed areas.

Also, been running the engine several times a week all summer. and have noticed how much more smoother it seems since that video. It fires up quicker, and runs cooler. about 175deg, with 40lbs. oil pressure. This was a brand new engine. glad I got this part over with, especiall since there were oddities like having the radiator below the engine, and right behind the lower air intakes. meant having to use about 12' of radiator hose. the trans cooler is at the same spot opposite side, gotta get a fan for it.

also got the accelorator pedal in, with two heavy return springs on the carb. The acc. pedal was sticking for a while, now seems o.k. with the counter rot. box in, I can start laying panels in the interior floor, and sides, and get the passenger area buttoned up. There may be a few more roll bars I might add since I got the fuel cell removed for installing the box. and anything else I can think of, while I've got fuel removed.(welding)

tires facing forward is cause I have to push straight outa the garage, and then try to get it back in straight, evenly over the darn drain in the garage.

other things to do. I uped the lbs. on the front coils from 400lbs. to 600 per coil. the ones I had on that video were only 400lbs per coil. now I got 700 on the top, and 800 on the bottom per coil. the leverage on this car with the engine in is rediculous.

Thanks again for the info Bob!

Last night, about an hour for bed i decided to tackle one more part of the Tumbler before i called it a day.

Here is the wheel insert. Still have some refining to do, but it really brought the rear of the vehicle together! Next i think i'm gonna redraw the rear tires to make them look more like "super swampers" instead of just big meaty tires.

It was. and also those dots next to each pair of lights above the windows were also cameras. Not sure why there though.

got my drive shafts installed. two of them. 1st one goes to a carrier bearing. then 2nd is a telescopic one going to the axel. all I gotta do is finish the brake lines, and bleed the brakes, and we're rolling.
