Holy crap!!! I check each and every day. Often several times a day. I am totally amazed how awesome your project looks. You have made the entire process look easy. I know it's not but the approch you used worked perfectly. I said a long time ago that with a few measurement you could easily figure out the rest and come up with a great looking replica. You have done it!!! I really look forward to seeing you build your wife's full scale version. You remind me of RJ. Such talent!!!

Thanks jack for the kind compliment! It really means alot hearing from you .
So i shaved tires for the Tumbler for the second time in a row, and agian im not happy with the results, the tires came out nice, smooth and round, but the fronts are too small for the scale, and the rears are a little too big, so my plan is to shave down the rears about an inch, and redo the fronts to gain a little height, but i thought i would share what i mean before they are set aside.

I'll get it right sooner or later

So the wife and I have found a new place and it has a yard, i brought up all my cars and am now able to work on them anytime i want after i get off from work.
Thats the good news, now for the bad news,
the Tumbler didnt make it during shipment, its still together, but there are a few area's that came apart, and to be honest this is the third time its been "destroyed" so i've had enough of putting it back together.
If anyone wants it, first one to post a reply saying that they want it, i'll ship it their way.

Congrats shag on the new place. I dont blame you for wanting to free yourself from the tumbler. The good news is this should leave you with much more time for the 89.

Beleive you and I Nitro, there is NO WAY the Tumbler could ever replace the '89, there is no comparison. I love the Tumbler for what it is, but as far as wanting a working, driving, awesome looking replica that i can take to car shows, and drive my son to places in....the '89 will ALWAYS be that car. I've already got the donar, just need to make the space for a shop and clean off my platter of other car projects.
Jack, congrats on the first post, i'll send it your way with the rest of your package.

WHEW...I am glad we got that settled ,there just seemed to be way to much tumbler action in your post and avatar . Yes the tumbler is cool but it is just not a batmobile to me. I think it could coincide with a 89 in a movie just different functions. One performs tank duties off road action as well as a possible battering ram while the other patrolling the streets of Gotham with some lighter hardware like the 50cals . It would be cool to summon the tumbler when you needed to switch to a little heavier hardware.I think they should have called it The BACU BAT ASSAULT CONTAINMENT UNIT. Ok maybe the name tumbler is better.

Oh trust me Nitro, if i had a covered area, and wasnt pushed to get my wife a replacement vehicle for her ranger, and if i had a car to replace the donar since im driving it, i'd already be working on the '89. The reason my avatar has been exposing more Tumbler and 'Pod than '89 is i usually change my pictures and post more towards whatever it is im working on at that time, sort of like a focus point. For example i started working on the 'Pod here recently and now my picture has changed to a 'Pod, but im very proud of my 3D model of the Tumbler, so that is my other picture . To show that the '89 is still in the works, heres something im working on, i've been keeping it a secret, but i guess it wont be secret anymore. I'm revisiting my 3D model of the '89 and reworking it now with my much-better 3D skills than before. The body will then be skewed to match the dimensions of my donar chassis, so it wont be a full length '89, but a version about 2' shorter than the original, with a few alterations of my own.

Shaggy thats great!! I do like the 89 but don't give up on the tumbler. You have done a great job on the batmobiles and the batpod. Someday hope to see the 3D on the tumbler. Yes, I do have some great news on my build. I am going to email you and Chilebean on the info. For the rest of you my friends on CLTC, I will post my build for you. I am new to this, and I will be happy with your support and ideas. Here is a picture of my favorite batmoblies.
