I dont know why... but the flag that says "Tatoe Salad" Is pretty damn funny.
Anyhow... thanks for the idea... Thats not a bad one. I had one of similar design but I didnt have the 2nd sheath that the flag was on.. thats what was giving me problems...
I'll try to start building it after I see if I can get some pieces... I'll try to get some pictures up too if It work s out. Thanks!

Hey S Mazl, im glad you liked the idea, and the "Tatoe Salad" joke even more. I love comedy, and try to insert it into ever part of my life. Laughter is by far the best medicine you could give anybody. Yeah, just try this idea out, it shouldnt be TOO expensive, so, say if it fails, it wont hurt your pocket book, ya know?

Agreed, I just ordered one of those old cap guns off of ebay... unfortunately my pay pal account is empty... so I need to wait for my bank to transfer the funds before the seller will ship it. After that I was going to head off to a Jo-Ann Fabric store and pick up a dowel rod. the outer sheath of the tube could probably be made out of PVC maybe... or maybe they sell hollow dowel rods... Im not sure...
I Figured I would do most of my Cutting with a dremmel tool... any other ideas?
Two interesting sticking points though. One is that I have NO idea where to find a spring that is the correct diameter or will be that long without having to be stretched. Know where I could find one of those?
and the other was going to be attaching a hook to the trigger to release the flag( see Shaggys doodle) . I was thinking about sodering it... but I dont know how strong that would be.
As always thoughts and Ideas are appreciated.

Those two things were my snag as well, the trigger "finger" and where to get the correct diameter spring. Anyone out there have any ideas?

I would hold off on figuring out the trigger mechanism until you get your gun. I've taken apart a few revolvers now and they have all been set up different. If you go to an Ace or True Value they have lots of springs and tubing. When I need small hardware and such I always check there first. All the little bits for my wifes pop gun were bought at an Ace.

Here's pictures of a couple of revolvers This first one is the co2 gun for my wifes pop gun this is the air soft gun for my new project Oddly enough the cheaper air soft gun is more complicated and more difficult to work with. The people at Gammo must have better engineers I have another co2 pelet gun that I opened up one time just to look at, and it was different than these two.

Well, I got my cap gun in the mail today. Good news is... its fun to play with... Bad news is there are some rivets that hold the barrel together that will impede the sticks movement... as soon as I figure out how to post pictures on here I can set some up...
How does one do this?
Thanks

click the lil image that looks like a mountain with a sun in the background, it will bring up another window asking you where the picture is stored, find the picture, click open, then click "add image'. It will take care of the rest.

Right... Ok. Here we go.
First one should be of the overveiw
This should be the Internal cavity
This should be the internal working mechanism
This should be looking down the barrel
and this should be looking down the barrel from the inside.
So as you can see... I dont have alot of room to work with, and I think those Rods in the barrel keep it together. However... if I can get rid of those and the thing does infact fall apart... It will give me more room to work with.and then I can either glue it back together, or find something else...
Thoughts and Ideas where to go from here?

www.photobucket.com its weird, because on my computer at work, this website gives me the option of uploading pictures straight from my harddrive, BUT when i am at my mothers visiting and using her computer, it only gives me the option to upload from the internet. ....weird.
