Hey customworks83 & BWD, I am self taught, this is my first try at building a custom car. I am doing all of the work myself so it is slow going. I am still working out the bugs on the canopy track system. Right now I am trying to wrap up the front tilt assy so I can attach and clearence the canopy center track. I mocked it up a couple of months ago, but found I needed additional metal framing in the canopy to reduce flex. One of the drawbacks of having no experience building custom cars is that what looks good on paper doesn't always work in steel and fiberglass. Regardless of mistakes and setbacks, I am having the most fun of my life.

Wayne,

You made me laugh when you said "what looks good on paper doesn't always work in steel and fiberglass". In my case I can draw pretty 3D drawings using CAD but that doesn't necesarily mean the part will come out as expected, same thing with machining CNC equipment. Gosh I was so excited when I found this site that now I'm spending hours just reading up and such. I baught myself a book of "Chassis engineering", I figured it would be a good starting point.

By the way,

I have a few products made and working on others. This car if I get to start it someday will be a long term project.

I have been making these emblems with the direct permission of Toyota Motor Company's Legal department. I learned what "copyright infringement" means now . Does WB have any rights to these bat bodies or are they sort of like an open air product? Any permission you have to request to WB? I don't think I've read about a street legal batmobile?? sorry for these questions that may seem so obvious to all of you, I'm just a rookie.

I have to laugh at myself some times. I just spent several hours designing a bracket, beating the crap out of a piece of metal and ending up with a $10.00 paperweight. At least I know how to not make it now. Ha! Ha!

Due to matters beyond my control, I am selling my 66 Batboat. It is on a stand with wheels so it will need to be picked up on a flat bed trailer. Please PM if interested

Hi B.Wayne, I am interested for a friend. He collects boats. I know I don't know too much about this boat. Is this a original or replica and what is the price. Do you have a email? Thank you

I am happy to answer any specfic questions about the Batboat on this build site other than price. I don't want to turn the CLTC build site in to a "car for sale" site. All sales related questions will be answered through private message.
