No the 66 Batboat has not been in the water, it was delivered just days before it was to be displayed in my museum. It has been in storage since I closed my museum as my batcave was only large enough to put my 89 Batmobile in so I could rebuild it. The 89 is almost done and ready for paint and a completely new interior. Once the 89 is done, it will go to storage as I have a 66 Batmobile build waiting to take its place in the Batcave. Hopefully we will be getting a bigger Batcave early next year so I can have all of my Batvehicles together. Once the 66 Batmobiloe is done, I will rebuild the 66 Batboat and make sure it is sea worthy. Based on my inspection, it will take a lot of work to fix all of the mechanical mistake, screw ups and poor workmanship performed Mark T. I have not found one thing Mark T done well. Even the paint is terrible.

Well I am working on the center console that goes between the seats. I decided to vary from the original so that I could add in a dome light. It is built with square steel tube, covered with steel and has aluminum panels. I still have to finish laying out all of the buttons, knobs, switches and lights on the panels. I do have the dome light done and working, it looks like a little Batsignal when lit. It will get covered in black vinyl like the dash and console base. Should look pretty cool when done. He is a photo before any detail work on the panels.

This is a little off subject, but important. Yes owning a Batmobile is very cool, but having a woman that wants to be a part of your life is priceless. This is the love of my life!!!!!!!!

You are a man that truly does have it all. You know this board really does have  the majority of guys that have either a great marriage or a very committed relationships. I think that speaks well of us .Congrats CLTC for finding woman that can put up with us.

Hey I think Nitro is onto something. There seems to be a strong correlation between Batmobile builders and strong relationships with their women. 21 years over here and my wife found my steering wheel for the 89 in England and had it here by last Christmas. Now that's love.

That's a great shot of you and your woman. Congradulations

Is it possible to pan back on that shot so we can see that paint job....hehehe..BWD

Hey BWD, Mrs. Wayne got my steering wheel from England as well. The paint is just primer. Not only do I love her as much as I did from the first day, I love her more every single day. Yes owning a Batmobile is really cool, but having a beautiful, loving and caring woman in my life is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  OK now back to the build.

Hey B.Wayne, I'm happy to hear that about Mrs.Wayne. So I got to ask how long have you been together?

Primer? Aree you going for a flat black paint on the 89? I must say it looks good and I guess you could call it the ultimate rat rod......Dave

We have been together for 5 wonderful years. The finial finish will be a matt black 3 coats with 4 coats of a matt clear. We have done a test of the finish and it looks really cool. It is neither glossy or flat. It has a silky look.

Well here is the rear console that goes between the seats. It is ready for vinyl. switch panels will be lettered/numbered and then matt cleared. I am also building a small overhead console just to make my interior unique and it will be finished this weekend. The dome light at the top of the rear console really looks cool when lit. Next is a bunch of black vinyl, leather and carpet and the interior is done.
