What threads are you having trouble viewing, John? I am not sure what DH set the current viewing / posting requirements to be, but he is pretty good about clearing these things up.

batmobile build logs and batmobile pictures are the ones i cant view. how ever i dont want to get off the thread. i have to admit they did say alot of things about alot of people. but mostly i was not viewing this board for some time. mainly because i am more into the 66 batmobile. but they did say alot of things on their board that got to be disturbing . thats one reason i quit going to g.g. forum. and the things kory said he was going to do to mark racop was just the last straw. of course i cant prove what he said but when he saw a post by my friend that i had visited mark racops shop to say hi . kory called relatives in my area to try and find me gave them his number to give to me. i called him and he cussed me out as though i was a traitor but i never had ties with them . i never did work for them and they never did work for me. i talked to kory maybe once a year as well as other builders. i am my own man and make my own mind about what i think. i will listen to others comments and agree/disagree/or stay neutral. mostly neutral. i am not cussing anyone out ,i am just saying what i believe and i am glad that we can move forward from here. i guess i should have came hear more but i had other things going in my life , like my wifes illness, but thats a nother story. i am back and hope i can be welcomed and enjoy batmobile builds and information, take care , john

Went visiting to Batrodz yesterday.

He needed a few pieces for his 66.

Haven't been there in awhile, but DAMN!!! His place is really starting to look like "Now Silent" Bob's shop these days. hehehehe

He's been cranking this out so well, I figured he was bored by now, so I "distracted him" with a few side projects. hehehe

I'm looking forward to seeing how far he can go with these. Since out last "joint venture" worked out so well.

and produced a "best of both worlds" hybrid. lol

PLUS, the wings of the Batcycle will give Jim and his guys some "practice" for the "other" molds. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

So I realize I am still new here and I might be opening a can of worms here. But didn't Rusty's shell come from Mark Towle? I realize that happened back in 06 and things can change a lot. But Rusty seemed to be happy with it.

Just a little confusing.

edited to fix the year, thanks Mr. A

Rusty only bought the shell. There had been others who bought the shells but never got the promised parts. Some bought turn keys which turned out to be POS. Check Dane's Build.

We have no problem giving credit to MT for the body that Rusty picked up.... Peruse his build log, and check out all the existing flaws in the fiberglass (dip in scoop, etc); these flaws actually exist on most of the kits out there, today, and I have CERTAINLY seen bodies in worse shape, before. However, the quality of the product is simply one SMALL issue that many of us have with the MT gang.

I found this interesting when I stumbled across it. From Gotham Garage: "Gotham Garage's Speed Racer Mach 5 replica built by the famous Mark Towle is the only licensed full size replica available in the world today."

"Be forewarned that if you are gullible enough to purchase an illegally molded copy of Mark Towle's Mach 5, you are certain to experience legal entanglement with the Mach 5 franchise and experience the total loss of your investment! Our Speed Racer Mach 5 turnkey is fully drivable and one of our replicas recently made a U.S. trek 3000 miles from coast to coast. Copy that gentlemen!. "

"Our Speed Racer Mach 5 has it all, from the rotating front saw blades "

http://www.gothamgarage.net/mach5.html

Any truth to that? I seem to remember seeing some other Mach 5 vehicles. And I somehow doubt that you could pass a safety inspection (at least in Virginia) with "rotating saw blades" attached to your car.

Hmmm, I can't seem to find a copyright or patent on the Mach 5 or Mach 6. I have found copyrights on the old cartoons, but not the cars themselves. I wonder what Mark is talking about.
