ok, my wife pointed something out to me last night on my build, the back doesnt look as wide on my build as the onstar car (which, from what i gather is aurguably the origional '89 batmobile), the front seems to be matching up farely well, but the rear section doesnt seem to be as wide. i think i do recall something being said about the rear fenders were shortened from 89 to 92 to make for better transport or something. The measurements im working off of are for the 92 im assuming. If someone can verify this, let me know, or are my measurements im working with just off?

 heres the near finished front good three quarter view my wife's tumbler, and YES she is building it all by herself. just thought i would share my tumbler doesnt look as good as hers :p another good three quarter shot area for the side mechanics

 and of course the ass end hasnt been touched that much, but im more focused on trying to get that cock-eyed lean out of the whole left to right side of the body as you can see in that very first high resolution picture i uploaded. (thank you uneaven tables >< )

Doo Hee, thanks for the link to that topic, i will most definately agree with you that that is by far like nothing i have ever seen on a batmobile. Who would have thunk to use the side of a (ford?) transmission, a automatic transmission pan, and a 5 lug hub off of several 1/24 scale models as the side mechanics, that is pretty dang cool if you ask me. I plan on creating my side mechanics out of SEVERAL individual peices, but make them as true to the original as possible.

so after looking at my build from a GOOD picture, and being able to bring it in on the computer, and compare it to the schematics available, im thinking i need to bring the cockpit door about an inch further out  and im also thinking that the wings need to drop down about 1/2 an inch, and i need to flatten the downwards slope on the front fenders a bit more, and not make it look so rounded in that slope. Please tell me what you think -Shagg

Hey Shagg, I know I'm new here but I have to tell you that I am EXTREMELY EXCITED about your project. I am CRAZY happy that you are doing this!
I was talking to my wife the past couple of days about building something in the 1/6th or 1/8th scaled 89 Batman Batmobile.
Anyway, after reading all the pages and seeing all the photos, I think you are doing an AMAZING job! I have ZERO skill when it comes to making things like that. I wish I did. Youre doing a great great job.
Have you considered letting a few of us get a mold of this so we can also make one? If not, thats cool, but I DID want to ask if you would consider it.
Otherwise, does anyone know someone I can contact about getting a 1/6th replica 89 Batmobile made? THIS TOPIC ROCKS SHAGG!!!!!!!!
