Shaggy, it's so good to see updates. You have put in so much effort and patience in this piece, that I now want to steal it as all MY own work 
Seriously well done, good job and glad to see your progress. Oh and thanks for posting. Yours look way better already than the HT  
BTW: The front fenders look a bit too square over the lights (you knew that right?)

Ahhh.. you must be talking about how the front quickly cuts inwards on both sides near the headlights. Is this the "too squared" you are referring to on my model?

Yep. Look at these... more of a 'sweep' across the headlight lens. Not straight across
Now lets see a straight edge across that upper intake
BTW: Seriously, when do you get a chance to eat, breathe and have time for yourself and family (they always have to come first - we know that right?)? Thanx for all the AMAZING work and time and patience and sharing. It really is much appreciated. Really, do not let this project die.... it really is an amazing build and I am loving watching it grow.

Yep, I do indeed have an upset. ...I mean an update. Them words confuse me sometimes.
So I have called the model "good enough" to cast. Now here is the problem with that:
...I don't know how to cast.
I do know, however, that silicone molding would be the best route to take for such a complex shape, that much I have been able to gather. The downside to this is its expensive and I don't want to waste such expensive materials on a body that is still rough from the clay, small errors, etc. So here's my plan, and its a long plan too, but its the best that I can come up with given I'm still learning.
I have took the car and started the molding process, I will do a "splash mold" out of fiberglass, then pull a car made of one solid material, not something soft like clay. This will allow me to take the new casting, and really sharpen it up, since they clays only purpose was to give a general shape, ya know?
Now, once I get that new casting all sharpened up, I'll put forth the cash in doing a Matrix Mold (a silicone mold with a fiberglass backing for rigidity). With this, I should be able to pull perfect bodies every time.
Now you may be questioning, "what about wheels? what about small details like side mechanics, the small details?" I must admit that I finally just don't have time to get it all done, and I've found a friend that I'll be calling on to have these said parts 3D printed, I will then do a silicone cast of these as well and include them with the car.
Finally, I leave you with some photos to show you some progress. I'm currently trying to learn silicone molding on my Rocketeer helmet, so I should be successful with that once I'm done making the '89 splash mold.

Yes! The helmet is in the hands of a friend who is a whizz at molding.
I need to raise $400 to cover the molding materials fees, but past that we will be ready to go.
Basically my blue mold you see here didn't do so well, and I decided I need to bring in the professionals.
It's so weird, I can model anything, can't mold worth a hill of beans.
