Thanks guys... yeah terry i'm noticing the height. Although I'm trying to copy a Bridging vehicle i took cues from a typical sandrail. I love those border patrol ones i see on tv...so putting panels on something like that makes me segway to whaty youngbat just posted (Oh yeah and Bob....i want a hood)... making some newer kind of Tumbler? like the wone Bruce would have for...off road fun, lets say? I dunno...I'm just going to keep going forward to my goal: getting a running vehicle (no panels) and doing a full test by the end of August. I hate to give a time line...but hey, why not? gives me a reason to do it. maybe life will get in the way, maybe not. but right now...i'm full speed ahead.

Got this today next to my Jeep BFG's...it's almost the same size! Bigger than my wife's wheels! UPS "forgot" to put the other one I ordered on the truck...hopefully it'll be here tomorrow. with my steel wheels too.

These rims are very much like the Pro Comp rims I have on my truck...didn't plan it that way...just that these wheels are steel - if i have to cut and weld and modify for dually's, i'd rather work with steel than aluminum (personally). I'm freakin liking this

in place...Axle is higher than i expected. It's now I'm seeing the real room I have for the motor. Also the "four link" i spoke about won't be really a "4-link" per say....on real four links theres usually no motor to contend with. so the engine here will be moving up and down with the shocks. not sure about that and will begin thinking more about motor placement before i attach this axle. but hey...i'm happy with the way this looks in place.

Hey Conrad, if your worried about the motor getting bobbed around while being mounted "solid with the axle" back there, dont worry. Most of your small carts now a day's are manufactured straight from the factory with the same style set up. A person once told me that the reason why they do that is for (one) rear suspension simplicity, and (two) the engine's oiling system sloshs about back there and better lubes the engine. ....but i dont know how true that is. just my two cents
“It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me”

Conrad, now that is a badass side pic of your kart! Boy when you put a nice set of wheels and tires, it makes the car. Did the rims come in black!
