DonC (9/19/2007) I repeat...that's a silly request.
That's a silly response.

?? Yeah. The problem often is how things are presented or perceived. For example Don said "heres a pic of straight and true...no hacking to do." Sometimes being humble goes a long way. Like saying I have done a lot of work to greatly improve my product over what is currently available. Now that goes without saying. Don’s body does appear from what you can see in the couple of pictures to possible be the best kit currently out there. But trust me everyone one gets or will get the same when it comes to boosting. Like when Kevin decided not to add the flanges. To me that was a let down. A “Perfect” kit would require the flanges since the original bodies had it. Me I can’t wait to see Don build is first 89 Bat. I know he is working on it as we speak for a customer and I’m equally sure that his customer will be extremely please. I love Don’s approach to his Gen 3 car and I know I will be equally impressed with his 89.

rusty (9/19/2007) don is trying to share..info and pics and im sure nobodys is going to be perfect.....trust me i know how it feels to be done like this....
Nobody is being "done", Rusty. This is a detail oriented industry. If people don't like that, they can go build Knight Rider cars. Look what happened when EDDIE PAUL posted a product he made! Was it well made? Hell yeah! But it was not accurate. And it is important that people are able to discuss that without hurting their feelings. Everyone is so damn sensitive that they cry about every little thing. We did not treat you any differently than we've treated anybody else, and we are not treating DON any different.
We have the sensitives in our midst, the elitists, and the regular Joes. Personally, the regular Joes make this place what it is - not the rest. We have always asked for more pictures from people when they come here. We ask that of everybody. You were kind enough, and PATIENT enough, to indulge us when we were being critical about the body you had. We were not being critical of YOU. Here, we are not being critical of DON. We are trying to see what kind of a product HE is offering in this detail driven community. And as Jack mentioned - when someone makes a statement like "this body is PERFECT", or "the originals never left England"..... we look for some backup.

Justin....now your sounding like the ' Sensitive One'.
If your not won't reply to this...
Now imagine if you will after weeks of sanding, grinding and breathing 50 tons of fiberglass dust , resin, primer etc fumes, your full body suit feeling like a second skin in the searing heat while you peel sweaty latex gloves off your hands still vibrating from the array of air tools while clouds of white itchy dust invade every crevice in your soul and your shop in the efforts of perfecting a straight and true bodyshell you finally emerge from bodyshop hell and into the comforts of your dwelling to find online polished sensitive tyes who I doubt have never even mixed a bucket of resin let alone more than 1000 gallons of it over their lifetime by hand squabbling over how they can analyze a digital picture a million times over and decide in their minds whether or not a certain shell is 'straight' enough for them instead of taking the word of an expert who actually know what he's doing!
