Using my 'glass canopy as a template I plan on fabricating a new canopy from sheet steel then I can weld in a proper recessed window lip for safety laminated windshields to sit recessed or flush. This will also make attaching all the other necessary bracketry much easier via welding, not to mention the wiper blade can't scratch real glass.

believe me...I'm in for the long haul, once the pics start comin' it won't stop.
Chassis jig is at the fab shop...picture this- 4" square tube, 3' high, 20' long and 8' wide,
ya it'll probably weigh a ton too. I'll take pics when I paint it...orange or red.

Good to hear you are starting the 89. Best ever? It's going to take a lot more then a few panels and a throttle. Good Luck. I look forward to the updates.

Ok, make that 'one' of the Best Ever...
Your right Jack, it's gonna take ALOT more than few panels etc,
first of all I have to catch up with you guys but since
I build Batmobiles full time I think I have a good chance.
I'd like this new build to match the Peterson
car in overall quality, of course mine will drive, stop and steer and have windshield wipers.
I've already turned down two 66 builds and handed over a partial 89 build to one of my pony tailed competitors to build this one so you know I'm serious!
