You're right, It takes very little movement. If you use slightly longer rods then the movement is even less. It would be cool if you could link it to your accelerator...

You could hook it to the accelerator movement electrically. That part would be easy.

I might be able to work it in, but I don't know what they look like.

WOW! That is pretty damn cool Tim. Keep up the design work! How about doing a CAD (or whatever) file for the side mechanics as well? I can't believe you can actually move the parts in that program!!!

"You could hook it to the accelerator movement electrically." I think if it were cable controlled it would work better. That way when you revved the engine the feathers would respond simultaneously. That may not be technically the way they are supposed to work (or is it?), but the effect would look great.

Here is a model that you can rotate and zoom in 3D (attached). You can also grab parts and move them. Unfortunately you cannot operate it. I can however animate it and you can watch it operate while you rotate and zoom in on it. I'll get to that later...

Here's the latest. I haven't worked out all of the details yet. Mainly, I'm not sure how I want to hinge the feathers. I also haven't worked out how the cone will attach to the back plate, which also is not worked out yet.

I can just imagine Tim sitting at work, getting PAID to design Batmobile parts. Boss walks over - Tim quickly hits the HOT KEYS to switch back to his work window. CLTC pops up instead.
"DAMMIT MILLER! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO MESS WITH THAT CRA..... hey that looks pretty good!"
