Greetings from the deep south!

I was down at the museum with a friend this weekend...

We dropped off Justin's 89 and Batcycle parts and some parts to clean up the 89.

(as you can see, Jack and I have joined forces and we came up with the speaker boxe panels for the hood latches) They're complete glass and resin and bolt to the side of the car using two custom bolts and fit perfectly.

(Shameless plug)

I think they look fantastic and all you need to do is prime and paint them and decide if you want to paint the faux bolts and screen silver before mounting.

Didn't get the chance to do that yet, photos coming soon!

$100 bucks a set, out of the mold. (as shown in the above photo) U.S. shipping included

PayPal ID: mail@codeoneauto.com

(How's that for subtle!)

While we were there,

I took some new pics of the mockup for ya'll. (My best Southern Accent)

FROM THE INSIDE!!!!

Enjoy

Sorry I didn't get to the rope lighting and the steering wheel. (Ate too much candy and wasn't feeling up to it I guess. ) They were supposed to order it and didn't. I'm getting one now and I'll head back down there shortly and that will be the end of the horrible wheel.

Awesome!  Always good to hear from you Paul.  Forgive me, but was it decided that the mock-up was indeed the real thing from the film?

Batgod, thanks so much for the new pictures.  The speakerbox panel came out really nice.  Great job.  I can't wait to see my set.

Hey it looks like the windows of the interior mock up are installed the way Rusty did his.

God, looks like they need a new side access door.

Thanks again for the update and new pictures.  I'll reply to your PM after work.  See ya.

Quite true Tim, quite true...

It's one of the only places I've heard spoken;

"Dang... Davy Crockett died for NOTHING!"

and

"You thirsty?... we got Strawberry, Cherry or Peach"

          "Strawberry what?"

"SHINE of course!"

Sorry I didn't get your "prize" finished in time to take with me. My glass gun broke and I didn't get to glass in your steel supports. But I'll get that done soon enough and take it down with me in September when they get they're new car.

Jack - glad you like the speaker boxes, thanks for doing all the hard work.

And YES, this is the original screen used stage mockup. The museum added the rope lighting so you could see inside a bit easier and the steering wheel was missing so they added an old cheap one and put a 66 metal bat in the center.

I made them a billeted bat center cap for a new grant wheel that they were supposed to pick up, but they didn't get around to it. So now I'm just going to pick up the wheel and take it with me next time and install it.

I know you guys like cool pics, so I'm going to leave you with one more.

Did you and my old man have a chance to get a drink together, or was it a quick drop and run situation? At any rate, I'm gonna head out there as soon as I can arrange a visit with Jack, AND I'll visit with Tim (and maybe Rusty if he'll have me by for a bit) while I am in Tennessee. I figure a week or so in TN and about a week in transit with a truck back to California (with a stop in Texas included). I'll feel like a Batman Santa Claus!

I WANTED to come out in September, but Jack will be gone all of September except for the time I am in Vegas.... So I need to figure it all out.

Hey Justin,

Yeah, we did...

But he had coffee and cheesecake while Candi and I got ripped on a drink called a "Sunstroke" (Malibu Rum, Grenadine, OJ and Peach Schnapps). We were drinking with dinner before he got there so we were pretty messed up by the time he visited.

The bartender was from Philly and the waiter from LA and originally from South Jersey. So we all pretty much ripped on TN and how much we missed being back east. Your dad was amused.

Then we cruised up to his place (He found out that I'm into full-size arcade games and handed over that Star Trek Machine you'd promised to work on a few years ago.) and unloaded your Bat stuff and Jack's.

Was a short visit because Candi and I wanted to go back to the condo and splash around in the water with the celebratory bottle of Krystal from the museum deal.

"It's not champaigne! It's f'ing Krystal!" - Quentin Tarantino; Four Rooms

But we'll hang when we go back next month.
