I am so confused!!! Tell you guys what - you all figure this out, and I will read this thread again when everything is sorted out and we know the truth.

Ooooookaaaayyyyy. While we are on the subject of PWD...I'll PWD. Coming from an independant builder, after getting his computer back up and running after several pints, who STILL doesn't have his own Batmobile,(regardless of what year or origin it is), I think some of the arguments here are a little petty. I would cut off my right arm to get my kit over here (only I need my right arm to work to get the money to buy the kit) and regardless if I got it from Don, Mark, Paul or whoever the hell will sell me one, I wouldn't care if it was mm perfect cos it still looks the same. Yes I want the best possible kit out there and the strongest so it will withstand the elements of every day/weekend use but at the end of the day I wouldn't have any kit, part's, accessories, invaluable build information without the help of every member/friend here to get me through it in the 1st place. I think we forget sometimes how helpful we are to eachother (well not me cos I don't have a kit) but when DH said the forum was closing, half of us shit ourselves cos we just found out we need eachother. Now that my computer crashed, I've lost all and I mean ALL information I found relevent from this forum related to my build and I for 1 am thankful that I can just call on a mate for help.
I think it's funny that here we can build a friendship with someone U don't even know, or who you've never met, and send them a package from your home town/country or getting something from them really shows what a close knit group we actually are.
Maybe it just hits home that everyone should just get along. A friend of mine , who was working on my new house, pulled me aside 2 days ago and told me he was diagnosed with aortic cancer and they didn't know how long he had.............................we burried him this morning. I suppose it just puts things into perspective as to just whats important.
End of poinient message.

Dee, you certainly have my sympathy for the loss of your friend. I don’t think there is really any arguing going on here just enlightenment. I can’t believe that it took one of the newer members (Rusty) to find all of this info. It sure goes against everything I knew to be fact 2 years ago. Hats of to Rusty not only for his speedy and awesome workmanship but also for taking up the challenge to prove what only other said to be true. Thanks to Rusty we now know that our replicas do have their origins from Returns. They seem to be the same as ones used in several scenes in Returns as well as the Six Flags cars. (Still going to call mine an 89)

These new facts blows a lot of what we knew to be facts right out of the water. Some are going to have a hard time accepting it while other we simply say, “I knew that a long time ago”. Anyway facts are facts.

I’m glad we are all here and I’m glad we are all pals. I feel comfortable talking to all of you and BS about just about anything. We are all friends and I think it’s great that we share stuff and gifts offline too.

Dee, again you have my best.

Cheers buddy. I know none of us blow up over nothing and we all love a great debate like the 89 over the non existant 92 or fossil fuel over nuclear power. Deffinately hats off to Rusty for his in-depth study on the 89 and why his fins come up to his nose instead of his eyes. I whole hartedly bow down to a full time builder and think Rusty has done an outstanding job on his build (Rusty I hate Ya )and can't wait to see the finished project.

I dont think ours are either one. Does your car have the wings pinned back Jack or are the spread as wide as the second. Now the Sweeds looks like the wings are spread out almost exact as the wider one.

If I get the time later (on my way to Poker Night right now) I will do a semi-transparent overlay with the three pics. I do not believe yours are swept back that far, Rusty, but they do appear more swept back than the second image... I did a quickie comparison on my computer... I don't know the movies that well, but could that UBER-swept back one be the Bat Missile? Maybe that one was designed to jettison or something... I do not know - just an idea.

Hey - is that the guys from Menudo in the car? I didn't knwo they had one too.

First off, thanks for posting all the screen caps Jack! I love screencaps! So to understand, you guys think the "fins" looked pinned on the ruturns car versus the original? That would make the onstar/returns car a different body than tyhe original? I cant see the differenc ein the fins. I looked at the returns shots and shots of the onstar/dave's pics car. It looks like an illusion. From the back of any car, the fins seem to spread further and from the front they look "pinned". Look at the pic from stright above that Jack posted a while back. or this one from the original. They look the same to me. Batmobile

The pic from returns with the canopy open seems like a different lens was used to get close and kind of stretch the image from front to back. Not sure if that's true, but it would account for some of the "pinned" look in that photo.

Jack, what are the other differences you spotted?
Good discussion by the way. And Rusty, as always, your car rules.
