No kidding, way to go. I always knew there had to be pictures out there of the original sculpt, but i had pretty much given up on finding them. That's pretty much my Holy Grail, the guy who sculpted the original car. I wonder what he had to work with as far as sketches and what not. As you all probably know I am fascinated with all things fabrication. That is the only reason I haven't bought a body kit myself. I would much rather create one from scratch. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a sculptor. I can kind of get it done, but I find it very challenging. Maybe if one of the Bobs smacked me on the head really hard that might help. (Although BobC may kill me:confused)

Both the kilmer and Clooney cars were sculpted out of clay. Norton bridges were used to check for symmetry, and form. Yes, computer based machinery cuts the bulk out, but then human hands do the rest. With skilled sculpting you need not get into sanding, or filing like doing the foam thing. Clay should be as nearly finished as a well painted car body. Wood and foam are used only as armatures on the TFX batmobiles. The great thing about clay is that if you go in too deep, you can add it back on. With foam carving it's gona be a pain if you go in too deep on any area. Also fine mechanical detail is more practical with clay. Check out www.dullam-causey.com
