Okay now take this picture with the canopy off. Lay a board across the steps or measure from the ground and measure to these points. Of course it doen't take a tape to see it's got the same problem. Of course it could just be the angle?

Yeah thanks for the pix they are great. Like I said no big deal you can add braces and brackets and whatever it takes. I know because I had to. But what I've been saying all a long is why should you have too? Why can't the kit be really nice and clean. Why do the edges have to look like this? I think the answer is that no one who truly loves the 89 is selling the kits. For example look how nice DonC 66 is going to be? Why because he really does think it's the best car ever designed. Mark got any pictures of your Mark 5 ot of the molds (glass right?).
Again nothing against the kit. I think it's great and a hell of a lot better than the one I got from RY. Heck if it were 3 years ago and I found my way to CLTC I would probably buy it.
Oh your pix did bring up another question. Why doesn't the kits have the correct upper scoop?

I hope this is not turning into a "war" of sorts. Nobody is trying to prove that there are problems with the body... well I'm sure Jack isn't anyway. Jack has just found obstacle after obstacle with his body where things just didn't line up correctly. Lots of rework that he's trying to save you. Also, Mark did ask where the warpage problems were. I don't think it's a problem with the lay-up job. That seems to have turned out great, it's just the problems that keep getting passed down to each new generation of molds.

Rusty, not trying to start a war at all. Mark, maybe you can answer my question or DonC, Kevin, Batgod can answer it. Why can't the 89 kit be as nice as some of the other kits out there? Why doesn't one of you guys fix all the flaws, pull a really nice set of molds with nice crisp edges, and then sell the kits?
Dee, you know more about kits then I ever will. Is this how your Ferrari kits come to you?

i dont think there is a way to make a 89 that isnt going to have to be done like pulling and sheming because there's nothing down the center just a shell the only way to fix that a little is to make it with a floor and firewall and for the mold lines i dont mind im going to have to work the body anyway and who else is going to sell someone a 89 better than this one that needs nothing for what i paid? hey i asked everyone before i got this one.. didnt get many answers but i am very happy with my body and as for a war its already over. mark got my money weeks ago and has aready used it up on strippers
war meaning builders fighting to give people what they want at a fair price...
