TIRES AND RIMS
Here's the original:

I used the same darkening acylic technique to get the rims toned down and then used chalks to further gritty up the rim and bring ou tthe tire detail:

This shows the grill detail (silver). I think it paid off (it was slow going).

Some other shots. It's coming togther! I really need to hit the lights and then work on the body a bit. I think that's all that's left.

Time to go to bed!

I love it !
Mine is still apart since my last email. But Im going to get the wires and leds in place. Once I find the battery setup for it I will just stick under the rear cover. I think im gonna put the on/off switch for it there also.Right now I have that Batmobile (the HW 1:18) and the animated series car torn apart.
The animated series version will be flat black with leds and front wheels that turn left and right.Im gona use some rc car parts and a few diecast cars I had layin around for that. Im also making it so the jet that comes out the back stays put...but trying to find out how to use bondo... my guess is it cant be that hard for somthing like this... but Im takin my time on it. I just really wanna fill up the gaps. HPI makes some cool wheels that I might throw on.
I really like how you got the extra detail on the car without makin it look stupid. I love the head rests and all the other little details. It looks great .

Wow just wow. What are the other plans for it? Are you going to tint the windows? Where are you putting the LED's? Will you be doing a second model? Is this the last question I have for you?
Seriously man, it looks amazing. You should do a "show" model next. All glossy new car smell and such.

Wait till you see the Richmans car that took off backwards off the sidewalk and got crush under a toyota camry, these are just a few I put up. But the second richmans batmobile not seen got crushed on 1/22/06. But I thought this would make a nice screensaver
