Thanks for the update and what really is a how-to make a dash post. I have a couple of questions. 1. Why have you decided to do a custom dash instead of making it look like the original? I mean you have done so much work to replicate as well as perfect the car. I'm afraid you won't be happy unless it is like the original even if this one is more user friendly and practical. 2. I also thought it was at the paint shop. Yes/No/Maybe? Lastly just a comment. I just realized what you and Bob have been talking about making out of metal. The teeth, right? AWESOME!

Hi Guys, yes the car is at the paint shop as in the pictures, The thing is , I do not want to jump the gun. I have to make sure this is prestine. so I want to finish a few things before I get deep into the surfacing. the shop is very big that it is in, has a paint booth etc. I have the canopy motorized , it opens in a nice 5 second start to finish, it is powered in the front. I will post pics this week. in the meenwhile here is the center of the wheel that had to be vac formed . again this car has so many unique items on it from Grills to the techno , lighting etc etc. also Jack, i deceided to change the interior because I really felt that theres was rushed and with todays items I can give it a more Batmobile qaulity . I wanted the 2 10 inch sreens for my camera's and there will be no stereo it will be contrroled by a Alpine orb. ok with that said here is some small but significant progress. the wheel armor was measured out and then my friend helped me do the cad file for the inside dimension of the wheel, it had to have a curve in it (convexed) so when the bat is on it they do not touch. then once the shape was cut out it was then vacuformed as you can see. The center was also marked perfect so I know where to put the bat. this is not the final plastic this is a quick mock up.

I was EXTREMLY happy with how well the fin turned out last night. The flashing is so thin you can cut it with scissors (juan did). It is sitting there with no support on the floor, ridgid yet extremly light (est. under 20lbs). Working with juan was great. His mom's tamalas are authentic and the best I have ever had in my life.
