The two guys holding the trunk lid are Jay Ohrberg and his son Nye.
They are also the same two geeks in the Bat shirts unstrapping the car from the pallet in Japan.
Jay made that car for a Japanese car show. It was a one way ticket as that car, in fact. Never came back from Japan.
Spain and Japan are the two "Black holes" of movie cars. Jay and (Now Silent) Bob shipped a ton of stuff to those two locations and nothing ever returned from there.
Customs never had a problem shipping Batmobiles OUT of the U.S., but getting them back IN was a major problem.
Was just cleaning the shop this past weekend and I found the Customs Auction Advertisement for the shipment of Batmobiles they grabbed from Jay
(Two 89's, a pair of 66's, a Batboat, a Batskiboat and a Batcycle)
I'll scan it, and post it on this thread when I get a few moments.
Been really busy with this country singer and his bounced 89 deposit check.
Lots of travel involved in dealing with the Nashville court system.
Talk to you all later,

Ok i do have an idea. What if the hero car was never used in the movies only for publicity, like model boxes magazine covers and touring and the on screen car was never put out on display. Now that may explain some differences between screen captioned pics and the onstar car. That car in DH photos is the same car I saw in 2004 at Stlouis car show as the onstar WB claimed number one.

That is definitely one of the real cars, right side pieces, screws in the gun doors, turbine center post up, proper glass, step plat rubber.
OnStar did lease the two hero cars for a three year run at 3 million dollar contract to WB.

anyone else surprised that the car in the movies contained normal seats and not cockpit ejector seats or belts.
