I think you can cover the pink insulation with Kills to stop glass from eating threw.Tim told me about it and worked great for me.

I'm not very familiar with the sandwich method, but with polystyrene foam you have to either use a barrier like Kilz or use epoxy resin. I don't know how using a barrier will effect the sandwich method.
Don't forget to make room for the headlights!

i will try that on a small piece first then.
thanks for the info.the hard part will be
cleaning out the garage to make room.

Definately do a test piece first... before you build the part for the headlights.

told the wife the other day that i was going to use
our geo metro for the donor car and make a mini 89
she thinks im totally insane.
i plan on getting a 74 impala chassis or something
close to it though

i would want something a little more powerful than a 3 cylinder 1 litre engine.it just wouldnt be right for a 89 to be passed by a vw bug. hehe
