Will it sit in your garage all the time? Will you take it out from time to time? Drive it all the time like the Carmel one? Personally, I'd like to just be able to take it out from time to time. Not far, or anything, but I can't imagine having that car sitting there and not driving it at all. If nothing else, at least taking it out on a few backroads or something. It would be cool to put it in Christmas parades and stuff like that, but that uh, tends to attract some attention. Am I crazy for fearing doing something like that? If I am, what about the Carmel guy? Or is he just off his rocker and it's just a matter of time before he loses his car? Opinions, comments?

I plan on using my car a lot; my L.T. want’s to fit the car with a small crime scene unit in the back and take it to bank robberies and high profile cases. The PD wants to use it on the DARE program.
As far as the Carmel guy goes he can do what ever he wants with the car as long as he doesn’t make any money with the car or misrepresents the vehicle. WB can pitch a fit and complain all they want. They may send him a C&D order or try to intimidate him by trying to take him into court. It won’t get them very far, no laws have been broken and there is nothing they can do about it until he infringes on their copyrights.
The patent expired earlier this year, so they cant charge him with that. The patent cannot be renewed or extended on any of these vehicles.

Looking great Kevin, hurry up and finish it!

I got the money part, by misrepresenting it do you mean saying it's the original Batmobile, or even a Batmobile period? I've also always wondered, could you call it a Batmobile Replica and avoid trouble?
"no laws have been broken and there is nothing they can do about it until he infringes on their copyrights."
Isn't having the car alone infringing on the copyright? Or is that why we were so excited about the patent running out?

Justin should send the Carmel guy a Club Shirt and a letter of invitation to the forum. Hell, why not one to the Swede Car owner. I would throw some into the pot to pay for them.
A little song, a little dance..... Batman's head on a lance.

Carmel guy is a total dick.
No need to send him the shirt or anything for that matter.

Ha! that's awesome. It caught me off guard and several people in the office got up to see what I laughed at.

That's awesome! Probably feel like doing that sometimes huh? I know there's a time or two I've wanted to do it to my KITT.
