I agree 100% Jack! Now call me a pessimist, but I think it is only a matter of time before pride and tempers erupt, and flame wars start (again). Such is the nature of this business, I have unfortunately discovered. I just hope everyone can get along long enough for us all to share some great ideas!

Justin, this is my bubble and I don't need you busting it. So, quit being negitive and be thankful that all the greats are here. I know I am. I hope that this board will help drum up some more buisness for each of them, well except that guy who is retiring.
Speaking of greats. Mark how about a few pictures? I know I need to wait for your website to come online but it's hard to knowing you have some great photos to share.

Sure and maybe we can have a séance and get old Anton here too. Of course there’s always John Evans, I bet Dave could probably contact him. Now that would be pretty cool.

I have to tell you. I TOO am shocked at the lack of flame wars.
I posted a few things on Eric's board a few years ago when I started hanging out with the very sharply skilled man in Northern Cali.
Wasn't long before I got the "Show us your pics you lying M.F.!!!" flames.
Back then, I really only shared the publicity pics because they didn't give away any secrets and didn't disclose build location. (C'mon, you can read the NJ license plates in that Catwoman pic!)
So the trolls started in with "NICE PHOTOSHOP WORK a$$hole!. Bet you photoshopped the car too!"
OF COURSE I photoshop the publicity pics!!! Do you know how hard it is to load one of these things on a trailer or flatbed?

Then assemble all the parts, clean it from the trip and...
Oh yeah... "Seen any caves around the Jersey Shore area?"
Photo shop is great for backgrounds. I can WALK to Bronson Caverns, take a picture of the Batcave and composite the two together for a pretty cool looking pic.
We didn't have the car finished for the Catwoman shoot, and the model was on a tight schedule, so we finished the back, shot the pic and photoshopped the hubcaps using pics taken later.
But the trolls on Eric's board were out of control. DH seems to have it under control here and we should all applaud him for it.

As for the fighting amonst builders...
I've never seen that happen anyplace other than Knight Rider and General Lee bulletin boards. There's a simple reason for that.
Those "manufacturers" are mostly kids who've saved their pennies for a nose on eBay, a book on glassing and some Home Depot fibreglass. (Oh... and a personal fave... "Gallons of Johnson's Baby powder added to their resin to make the gelcoat they can't afford")They pull a mold off someone else's parts and go into "Business".
I've made these small parts in my living room while watching TV. (Most KR parts are the size of 66 roof pylons or 89 machine gun doors. Mark, Don? Imagine an entire business selling roof pylons? )
You can't make a front clip for an 89 in your living room. (Well, I guess you could, but your cat is toast for sure.)
So they're all fighting for the same 20 bucks on eBay.
But as for this board, I really don't see it happening.
Don and I are cool.

I don't talk to Mark T., but I do believe I met him a few times at Kruse Auctions (You always seem to be behind me with one of those damn Mach 5's at the staging area!
I have your M5 pic from Kruse Motors and Music framed in my office because the other 5 cars on the page were mine and my Force 3 car got bumped above yours. If they'd have switched them, I'd have been able to slice your car off the page and just frame mine.
But NOOOOOOO I gotta look at YOUR car every afternoon when I sit at my desk!!! THANKS BUDDY!!!)and I think he's extremely talented with a fine sense of balance and alchohol appreciation. (OK... so I'm a$$ kissing to get a good deal on a M5 body.)
And I've talked to most of the other guys building their own cars and they seem to have it together.
So it's just a matter of keeping the trolls under conTROLL. And DH's doing a great job.
Congrats DH!!!
And to the trolls...

And why is it that all the builders I see are bald?
BatGod
DonC(if that's him up there)
Bob C or Bob D.
Tim
Mark T(not sure but why else would he be covering his head in all those shots?)
Is it from all the paint fumes you have sniffed over the years?
But I'm glad you guys found the site
