Going over these photos, it looks to me that the owner or builder decided to NOT add air lifts but mount it as low as possible and add a rubber "skirt" under the car. This would be a big $$ savings and less hassle for a sorta daily driver. I have not seen a shot where it sits like the movie car, which is SUPER low, when the car body is lower than the bottom of the wheel rim, that doesn't get over much in the way of bumps and driveways.
Any thoughts? The one that is most telling is the shot where it is on display with a chain around it, but it still is sitting high. If there were a way to drop it, it would be lowered for display, don't you guys think?:confused

i looked a the one with the chain around it that car is pretty low it dont look like you could get a pack of lucky strikes under the front if it had the bigger (taller) tires on it . it wouldnt even look like the same car they would fill up the space in the wheel wells

this looks low? The tires don't look too small to me, just that the body
isn't low enough in the back.

You're more af an expert in lowered cars, Rusty so I will take your word on it, but that isn't how the body should sit, or does sit in the movie cars, the body is a bit lower than the BOTTOM of the tire rim. This shot is taken from what looks like about 5-6 feet high looking down, so it makes the front look a little lower.

So Rusty, explain a jack plate, and what you think is the best way to lower a batmobile with a good ride, low cost and reliability.
Thanks,
n8

I am mainly looking at the space in the wheel well above the tire. I agree, it looks a little lower, so maybe there was some set up,
Just want Rusty's ideas on the best way to go, and why hydraulic
isn't the best way to go.

Look at the wheel wells even in this six flag car. Does the Carmel
just need bigger tires?

So are you saying that even if the Carmel car was lowered to the right height, it still would have too much space in the wells or that it couldn't even be lowered enough to center the wheels in the wells? (in your opinion)
