So know that we know that car in photo is vette. What do you guys think about vette based Keaton Batmobile? Cause you can add something like 10+ inches to each side of a vette and still be inside the road limits to be legal. All that would need to change is really wide wheels or lengthen axles like I said before, and by the looks of that car you might not even need to make car longer... but if needed there has to be way to make it happen, if I have to ask some limo makers how to do it. What do you guys think... cause I think that it would be easier to start with a correct sized interior then to match the outside width up first using a wider car and have some huge interior that you have to narrow or end up with 9 foot wide car. Thanks. By the way, you guys rock. I live in North Carolina and if you mention anything about special effects or makeup here people look at you funny. Jon Hunt

CORVETTE IS A GREAT WAY TO GO BUT I AGREE THE C3 VETTE IS A BAD IDEA.... IM USING C4 VETTES FOR MY 89 AND AM HAVING NO PROBLEMS AT ALL ....THE VETTE COCK PIT (I SAID COCK LOL)FITS PERFECT WITH THE 89 COCKPIT WHEN YOU LINE UP THE REAR TIRES IN THE WELLS..... YOU JUST HAVE TO STREACH IT IN FRONT OF THE FRAME WICH WILL GIVE YOU PLENTY OF ROOM UNDER THE HOOD FOR TRUSS BRACING AND 5 SMALL CHILDREN TO SNEAK INTO THE DRIVE IN.....GOOD LUCK ON YOUR PRODJECT FREEKIN SMURFS

COME TO THE MARKSIDE

Mark, sounds like you have already built an 89 or are in the process of building one. Can we see some pictures?

Whenever anyone talks about scratch building an '89, I get real emotional and need to go look at Tim B's Opel replica... I LOVE IT!!!! Ok, that's my vote - go with the Opel GT.

Its funny... from that angle the car really doesn't look all that bad!

Doesn't matter what angle that car is seen, that is the ugliest POS.

And the owner got some attitude, too(He posted once here to tell off all haters and then left a link to his page on the links section)

I 'm not mechanical savvy so excuse my ignorance. Why is Chevvy favored for all 89 batmobiles? Aren't Pontiac or Lincoln Continental or any other 80's GM cars just about same width and length?

Chevys are cheap and easy to come by plus a lot of folks want to make it like the original. But yes any car will work.
