You're really good with that bondo. I'm looking forward to working with it on mine soon. As far as design goes though, I think if you really want the curve that it would look better if it weren't quite so extreme. Maybe more like this. It's really just personal taste of course. You may also want to consider how you would hinge that if you decided to. The hinges would have to be pretty large with a curve like that unless you had a single hinge in the center.

my hatch dont open by hinge, which is why the cruve was more of a preffracne then a worry about hinge funciton. it uses a spring system (was orginal hydrolic but i figure the spring system wroks just as well and is cheaper and easyer to set up) that when opend it rasies the trunk up and back
