Tim - we are from down under and everything is upside down and in the future....! 
That cartoon of the caravan reminds me of the question my old Physics teacher posed to this batmobile fan back in the '80's.
He asked me how it was possible that the old corgi batmobile could tow the batboat given the turbine/tow hook configuration. That's if it was a "real vehicle".

I could never figure out though how Edward presents Bruce Wayne with the riddle and location of his fortress when he never knew his identity until later in the movie?
