Baneful, That's Okay the fact that you are obsessed with the car is enough for me. Maybe you can start off small like building a scale replica like Tim. Here is an even better idea try to replica part of the car. You could start off with something easy like a gun door. They make great shelves. Remember, NEVER say never.

Here is one more.

Sorry; I have been very busy constructing molds for the Black Beauty. Not much time to watch the board.

There is somewhere around 15 separate sections to the vehicle. Due to so many compound curves it takes a lot of sections to make molds for a vehicle such as this. Metal is glassed into the inside shell to make it rigid and also allow attach point for mounting to the chassis.

Although I believe Jeff was asking about the finished piece(s), Kevin touched on the 15 or so mold sections it takes to mold the body of the '89. This will give you the general idea of where the parting lines would be. Of course this could vary from builder to builder (if they are making there own molds)

Yeah, that's just something I happened to be working on. I haven't quite finished it yet.

I'm always peeking...

As you can see that's a little different around the gas cap area, otherwise it's pretty much the same.

To answer Jeff's question, I think most kits would include the main body in two pieces like you said, the trunk lid, the canopy, the two gundoors, crappy fiberglass castings of the side mechanics (someone post a picture of this, and the nose cone. If I am forgetting something I'm sure someone will chime in.
