Thanks for the photo Tim. I never noticed the actuator. So in this scene they must have had someone outside the shot open the canopy manually. I'm going to watch the car scenes again tonight and look for other stuff.

I just can't wrap my brain around the archive guy Dave... How could you go to work where there are Batmobiles everywhere (and other cool movie stuff) and not give a damn? Did you check to see if the guy had a pulse?

Also, how can they tell if someone gives a crap? If they find out you think it's cool do they fire you?

Jeff

I don't understand why the buttons would be hidden there?

So to film the shot of batmobile rotating, someone had to open that gas cap and hit the button and quickly close the cap and get out of the shot?

Same with the flame scene??

Jeff, yeah I here ya. Those guys that work there are either accountant types OR shop guys. Either one is not a fan and YES, they sure can tell if you're TOO into this stuff. You mean you couldn't point out another batmobile nut walking on the other side of the street? Not sure if you'd get fired but Ohhhhhh....the temptation....

I don't think the buttons actually made something happen that second. Maybe they are more of a "set and arm" type of thing and then a guy with a remote lights up the rear, or rotates the thing. Inside the rotating car and another one was a high end remote control on the driver seat. They didn't know anything about it. I gave up asking questions because they just had no clue. The Batmobile that rotates was used to do other things also but they couldn't tell me exactly what that was either.

So you never got to take the batmobile out for a spin?

Did you at least get to sit in the cockpit?
